Scott Buck has lived in the
Eurobodalla for 30 years and
reckons there's no better
place to live a fit and healthy
The personal trainer is full of
healthy, outdoor activity ideas
to keep the kids occupied this
summer and beyond.
The Catalina man says
Batemans Bay has the best of
both worlds - a magnificent
river and ocean for water
sport enthusiasts and beautiful
bushland for the adventurers.
Scott's favourite water sports
include diving and spearfish-
ing, but there are also great
waterskiing facilities at
"I do as much stuff in the
water as possible," he said.
"It's just so crystal clear."
The promenade around
Batemans Bay and Surfside
provides a great walk, but
Scott's tip is to look north for
the best beach.
"There's so many secluded
beaches between Long Beach
and South Durras," he said.
"There's just bush between
His top tip for family fun is to

your boat, he recommends

For eating-out, Scott's tip for
the best coffee is the North St
Café in Batemans Bay, and he
suggests people head to
Tyler's Kitchen in Malua Bay
or Catalina Country Club for
good food portions.
Scott was born in Moruya but
moved away to attend univer-
sity and run a personal train-
ing business in Sydney.
He moved back to the area,
had kids and built a house in
Catalina with ocean views.
According to Scott, the best
part about Batemans Bay is
that it's quiet, not over-popu-
lated and a great place to
raise a family.
