Mittagong Preschool, a community-based preschool,
relies on the support of parents and the local community to
operate. "Although we receive some government funding,
each year we need to hold fundraising events to help us
provide the 'extras' for the children," Pauline said.
"This wonderful family event encourages being healthy and
active, which fits in so well with the Preschool's philosophy
and new national curriculum framework. Our curriculum
has a focus on each child experiencing belonging, being
and becoming, with a further aim to help children develop
a strong sense of wellbeing through physical activity, and
